We got one right at the end of the season last year at the cable and I got to try it a couple times. It was a fun board to ride. Great pop and concave. The one thing I was told that it has the grind base similar to their wakeboards. Can anyone confirm or deny this? It felt really good on the rails and didn't show any wear after a couple days of people beating on it. I would recommend it to anyone to at least try! I'll seriously consider picking one up when the 40.5 ships.

the only thing it has in common with a catalyst is it's a wakeskate, and it's composite.

David_Roehm, which wood concave are you comparing against? I've rode the 40 Control, 40 Anthem, 40 Faction and 41 Hampson plus the 07 Reed 42 SST and 08 40.5/42 SST.

You have the 40 mod? I didn't know it was shipping yet. I liked how it rode but it was a bit high in the water for me. I prefer the Hampson/Control how it's pretty much right in the middle. If I was to have one "complaint" about the mod, it would be the holes on the sides which when not being used, squirt water right up my calves and made me think I had a string hanging or something. It bugged the hell out of me. lol Not really a complaint but you get the idea. One kid at the park who rode the 42 said it didn't rotate as much as he just could not get a 3 shuv out of it when he's fairly consistant on a wood skate...

Pro Form is usually for shop employees, team riders, etc. its basically getting something at a discounted rate. In most cases Pro Form is Cost, the price that retailers purchase items for. Depending on the item it's generally around 30-50% below MSRP. So if Pro Form something, you go through the Reps and pay Cost on it.
