what are your thoughts on the best boards on the market? im looking into getting a new board soon- currently riding the 108vinyl i like it but sometimes feels a bit too chunky on the water & sits kinda high. plus but too thick for cable riding maybe?
anyways what are your favs?

The hyperlite catalyst works wonders for me behind a boat, if you are use to wakeboarding then try that out.

well, wood or composite, i personally suggest composite because they last longer. Maybe look into Byerly boards, Integrities, the new liquid SST is looking solid (All composite) and new liquid force Mod also. Gator makes a few composite skates havent heard much about them and i think devotid has the V2 that is composite? but that board looks good. Good luck finding a board

the v2 isnt gonna be out till next year. what i dont understand is how a board is too thick for riding a cable. im sure BT shreds the vinyl just fine where ever he rides.

Mod is butta. I never enjoyed composite decks until this one. Do it.

Just demo as much as you can until you find something you like.

If youre going to be putting a ton of use into it by riding cable alot then yes, i would go with a composite, many people like the feel of a wood deck, but if youre not really used to riding wood decks, may aswell go ahead with a composite. Obviously integrity has been pumping out a solid line of products recently that give you a sick composite deck, but many other companies offer good composites too. byerly has a good composite skate, super durable, but it has a specific feel to it that if you love it, then you love it but if not, you will most likely hate it. pretty much just try and ride as many decks as you can, and if you cant, just order any skate and i bet you'll love it. Very Happy

1st of all im not BT.."wish!" he could probably ride a maccas tray just as good!
and when i say thick for cable- im talking about on rails/wall rides. for example when i do a transfer shuv from up ramp to wallride- most of the time my vinyl boggs into the water when going back down the wall- a thinner board would minimise the surface area that will impact the water hopefully resulting in a cleaner landing.

ive tried the byerly boards bit i dont like how the massive concave seems to lock my feet into position, doesnt feel natural for me personally. i was thinking about trying the integs, but hard to get hold of one in Aust for a reasonable price.
all good- cheers for ya input.
