i hate cars

so it started wedesday me and my brother were riding our bikes home after school (it was kind of dark) we are about halfway home and we are crossing an entrance to a parking lot we are half way across and some random lady pulls into the entrance and stops starring at us like deer in the headlights me and my brother barly stop i acually raninto him which stopped me faster and it stopped him because i jammmed his backtire up the lady then rolls down her window and says put reflectors on your bikes (we have reflectors) and we were right under a street light so she could clearly see us. Thursday rolls around and i am riding home alone and i am at the same parking lot and i almost get clipped by another random person its a different person. and he looks at me and then keeps driving. on friday the same thing happens! and on saturday i watch this groupp of longboarders (3-4 of them) are crossing the street when the thing said cross and they start going some ass is going like 40 and dosent stop and starts turning right the longboarders jump off there boards and run one of the long boards gets run over but dosent break (it was one of the dropp kind so it was only like 2 inches off the ground though) the car keeps ondriving not caring about any body else. A couple of years ago i was biking home from the same school and i ran into a car she was halfway in the street (i was already crossing) and the lady yells at me. she didnt care if i broke my arm. i acually bent my bike tire and hurt my ankel. at the same intersection as the accident with me and my brother i was acually hit by a car in the back tire i crashed hard and the car drove away i was pissed off accept i couldnt chase the car or else i would have.

bottom line people driving cars are idoits

A. It's illegal to ride a bike at night without a headlight. Even if it's not "night" yet, it wouldn't be a bad idea to ride with a light so people can see you.

If you are riding on the sidewalk move to the street. People driving don't expect to see people moving at 10-20mph on the sidewalk.

Be aware. You need to be two steps ahead of the cars on the road. It's one of the risks of riding a bike. If you get hit, you could get seriously injured while some one else gets a dent.

Last, wear a helmet.

im gonna say it was 5 for the first two andwhen I hit thevcar and when I got hit it was daylight 3

the bike may have the right away but people driving don't pay attention.

Its your job as a pedestrian to always know where the traffic is.

That is pretty scary! People totally don't pay attention, most everyone is in autopilot on the road. You just can't trust they will watch out for you. I mean even though you have reflectors.. clearly that lady and others can't see you very well. Why not actually put some lights or something on your bike. Reflectors only let drivers see you when their headlights on shining on you.. which may be too late for retard drivers.

On a side note since it's xmas and all, last night I went to my moms to watch the Lake Howell boat parade, where boats get together and decorate with xmas lites. Anyways there were only 2 boats this year. A little kid came running down with his little friends just in time and said "only 2 boats? THIS SUCKS" haha

I basically HATE everyone that drives any kind of vehicle around where I live. It never fails I almost get in a wreck because of some dumb@ss at least twice a day once on the way to work and once on the way home. For some reason I never have any problem on my lunch break though . . . . . .

I like to pretend like I don't see cars that are blocking bike lanes or drive ways.. I'll ride up to their driver side door really fast and then at the last second hit the front brake which brings the back tire about a foot off the ground for a second, then I just ride away like nothing happened. it freaks drivers out pretty good.

But yeah, you have to be really careful on bikes when you are around cars. most of them don't pay attention.. so when you ride just pretend that every car on the road cant see you, even if you think they can see you. It sounds lame and all, but wear a helmet too. I just started to after all these years. If you ride at night have a red flashing led light on the back of your bike and like others said a headlight too. they are pretty cheap and worth it.

eviltweak, foot works just as well. in between the tire and forks.

I ride a streetbike. I know cars dont see me. so i ride like they arent there. much safer. esp. after living in miami.

now ive had all that stuff happen to me while im on a longboard along with when im standing on the sidewalk the cars drive on the sidewalk and almost run over my feet
