So many weeks ago at a routine checkup with the docter my docter told me he noticed that i had slight scoliosis(sp), which if you don't know is curvature of the spine. So a week after that I went to some spine docter and after examining me and my scoliosis, he said that the scoliosis itself wasn't a big concern because it was less than 10 degrees of curvature, but he noticed that in addition to that one symptom, I had several more symptoms of Marfan's syndrome, which is a heart condition. He told me to visit a genetisist, to see if i had it. My parents researched Marfan's, and told me it was a big nothing, and that alot of basketball players have it. (People with Marfan's have long arms and are tall and lanky) So i was at the genetistist today and after much awkward examination, I was told that I didn't have it. What happens is your aorta(big blood vessel in your heart) gets real big and starts leaking. So in the car back both of my parents told me it was the happiest day of their lives. They proceded to tell me that they had not been completely honest with me because they didn't want to scare me, but if i had it, basically I could do no physical activity for the rest of my life. One of the first things on the "do not do" list was water-skiing. Because if the aorta is agitated it can "pop" and death would be imminant and almost instant. That is the worse-case senario, but i am still SOOOOO happy to not have it.

shizzle, glad to hear your good.

i got idiopathic scoliosis, my spine is pretty much an S haha. kills me most of the time, they cant brace it or shizzle because the worse part of the curvature is at the top of the spine and they only have braces for the bottom. only thing they told me was to sit up straight and some dumbass stretching exercises.

man, ive never realized how much work it is to sit up straight
