As some of you may know hyperlite has come out with a new wakeskate called the Phriction and it is concave and wooden. Any thoughts

on the hype site it says it's concave. eva like the byerly

The board is a concave wakeskate. Grip Tape and a concave shape. New to Hyperlite this year. It is much similar to the old Cassete Concave's when they first came out.

The Phriction series is not a wood concave. It is a wooden flat deck with a foam concaved top on it. You can see images of the top and the entire line below. The purpose of this deck was to make a more economical concave board.

thanx dave i didnt know that it was foam, i took it the wrong way, i thought they meant it was some new thing when they said EVA.

Ya at the expo I laughed these guys suck hated to say it but i told 2 hyper guys that their product sucked and parks and ruck laughed so hard. It was quite funny i guess but i meant it plus i guess i dont like grubb anyways but byerly is the man retrospect is totally kick ass all the way

They had a full line of wood wakeskates 3 seasons ago, then changed back to compression molded for whatever reason.
