taku, You are right it is a series of them. But give me one, a bill that was writen into law that was so bad it messed everything up. First off the house went Republican in 1994 the same year clinton went into office before that it had been controlled by the dems for 40 years. As for the deficit you are being naive if you think that it was Bush that caused the deficit. First off look at the year it started 2001 the same year as 911. Anyone president would have had to increase spending after that. It was paying for Military action and build up. Build up that would not have been neccesary if it was not for Clinton cutting the military by a 1/3. The military in this country was set up to be able at any one time fight two war and defend are our contry. Also look at the trend, after the spending surge the deficit started getting less and less.

mergeleft3, Yeah paying to send the wrong number of troops to the wrong country to fight a war on terror that wasnt rooted there at the time. That makes sense. Oh and we still havent caught Bin Laden so why was that money spent???? Oh thats right they had WMD's in Iraq and were threatning....Oh wait. No they didnt.

Sorry buddy. If the Repubs had done such a great job they would still be in Office. No matter what the AMERICAN PEOPLE voted in Obama. beach at them if you are worried about it. Im sure they will listen.

Lollar, War, war, war, WMD's that is all everyone every has to say. Lets not forget that the DEM's gave it the ok. Lets not forget that just two years yearlier Clinton got on TV and said that Iraq had WMD's and that we needed to do something about it. As for finding Bin Laden, do you think you could find one person if they were hiding in an area larger than California.

show me a true republican-one who minimizes the government, cuts spending, is not a crazy religous nut, etc. before the christians took over the republican party years ago it was a very good party for most of the country. these days the only diff. between dems and rep's is what they spend money on, not how much. i wish we could have a true independent minded candidate. perhaps one with so much $ he doesnt need contributions from companies therefore runs on his own morals.

True Republicans like Ron Paul will never get a fair shot or backing by the party. It's sad that they've strayed so far from what the party is supposed to believe in. Then you have hordes of Republican cheerleaders who obviously don't know what their party stands for so they just take whatever candidate the GOP feeds them. People on both sides called Ron Paul batshit crazy when it turns out he was right. I switched from Independent to Republican to vote for him in the primaries. I did my job. When the Republican party failed to elect a candidate that correctly portrays their own parties beliefs I switched to who I thought was best.
