I know that most probably 99.99 % of you guys will hate me forever for saying that but I THINK THAT BILEVELS DECKS ARE FOR POSERS!

If you do not know how to hollie then go home to play PS2 tony Hawks' and dont even bother buying that 2 decks in one .

reminder: skating is done on ONE Deck

peace!

(sorry thomas but this is what i really think..)

Mr. F... quit comparing wakeskating to skateboarding, the only thing they have in common is trick names and the word 'skate'. i know your entitled to our opinion but i dont see how something that could possibly cause the sport to evolve faster could be a bad thing...
if anything the bi-level is making wakeskating more like skateboarding, physics wise... because the if you think about it a skateboard doesn't slide along the ground... it has trucks that lift it up and allow for more leverage to pop better, if my point isn't getting across, try taking the trucks off your deck then try to ollie... not as easy is it?

ps. i could be missing something, but what the shizzle is a hollie?

GWC say: "quit comparing wakeskating to skateboarding, the only thing they have in common is trick names and the word 'skate'

I cannot desagree more.

YOu probably ride like a wakeboarder but I surely dont and every time I am out on a waskate and just try my best to forget that it is water below my deck and ride like I would do on the street Then you got Style!

i dont wakeboard, FYI...

and i guess it does come down to style and personal preference, but that doesn't mean if you dont like it you have the right to call people who do posers...
but i could be wrong, the bi-level could be released and be POS, but i don't think that cassette would bother building up the hype if it wasn't gonna make a big splash.

Mr. F, can you please say "poser" a few more times in every thread relating to the bi-level. TIA!

Let's just end this right here. Only a few people have ridden the bi-level and they have nothing but good things to say about the design. But until everyone can ride it, let's stop the bashing and the promoting...unless you've ridden it! By all means, post your thoughts on how you THINK the bi-level will perform, but don't call someone names because they have a different opinion than you. No one likes surfing the forums and seeing the same post in every thread...

Mr.F - congratulations!

...maybe we should mount some shoes on a wakeskate? could you imagine which kind of tricks you can do with such a constellation? Birthday

wakeskating is basic, stylish and rude. how will you do a stylish dockstart with a bi-level???

bi-level for me is like a hydrofoil-skate - might be higher and easier - but it isn't a skate...

Mr F I to am not too big on the hype of the bi-level either.I think it will take alot of the simplicity out of skating. For a 25% higher ollie doesn't do much for me.That being said to each his own and it's good to see new ideas being tried. And as far as trying to wakeskate just like you skateboard that sounds pretty gay and poserish to me.

tribal I agree with you on "each his own " and it is only consolidates my statement!
As far as "to wakeskate just like you skateboard that sounds pretty gay and poserish to me " well................I dont thing that varial flips and other tricks alike can be done otherwise than with a skate like way of riding...

Do not get me wrong, I am 100% for progression, I only think that progression is something that grows with riding, riding and more riding and not with new gismos (common everyone Twisted Evil hit me with you hatred, litlle sheeps)

i think the bi-level is a great idea and looks like its an amazing ride but to me it doesnt seem like its wakeskating. it seems like it would ride to high out of the water, be to heavy and the gap between the two boards just doesnt look right. i think thomas is a genius for thinking of it but it just doesnt seem like wakeskating

I am totally stoked on trying the bi-level at the surf Expo. I just hope that "Itch" is cool with someone from a different company trying it.

Who knows what that deck will do to/for wakeskating. We'll never know until we try the deck . . . word?! I know that when Burton came out with a "bi-level-esque" snowskate, most people switched to it, preferring it to the traditional flat snowskates. Regardless, snowskates are lame and should not be ridden. I just wanted to provide an example.

Either way, this may sound cheesy, but I think that this is what makes wakeskating such a rad sport. Progression and experimentation . . . ya her'd!!!

Peace!

Mr F I see we agree on lot's of point's.I'm a pretty old school skater/surfer so flip tricks aren't really my thing.I can see your point[comparison] here. You got to remember though that flip tricks are only one part of skating--street skating which I know is all the rage of skating today but there are other facets.Just as all the rage in wakeskating seem's to be tech.Tech is great but to me it's all about moving these tech tricks into bigger more committing moves[eg taking them W2W] just as in the old days of skating where moves started as street went to mini ramp then to vert. And as far as gizmo's go I couldn't agree with you more. It's all about mileage[and having fun of course].BTW I still ride a Cassette flat and always laughed when reading eveyone say "you gotta have a concave" because all the Cassette boys do.Then the Kampus team started killing it on flatdecks and everyone was like "hey wait a minute". Laughing

i agree to koolbeans - maybe we should commit on the following:

wakeskating is wakeskating - you ride a more or less plain piece of whatever - and that's cool.

bi-waking ist riding a bi-level - mmmhhh - whatever. and maybe - if thomas is riding it - it look's nearly cool as wakeskating Laughing

old school rules! don't trust gizmos!

olk well i dont know how the bi-level rides and what not but i do believe the gate doesnt have sh it compared to it. and if it were'nt for that dumb bi tch t-boning ITCH i would be riding one this weekend but seriously how can you say poser? i believe if its good skate and you can do tricks on it just like other boards than ride on but still no one but a select few know how it rides so i think until people do u should hold your negative remarks. Dont knock it until you try it.

If you think the bi-level is based only for posers, obviously you have no clue about product evolution. How can a board that sits so deep in the water (a concave or flat) be any relation to that of a skate deck? By moving the board up it allows for leverage, thus producing lift, similiar to that of a skate deck. It allows the board to stay attached to your feet, more like a skate deck, not all angled and "lifeless" like that of a concave and flat deck, and also providing more consistent ollies. If you say that you are about having style on the water that imitates skateboarding, then a bi-lev is perfect for you, just the opposite of what you are stating. You should really try it, before you knock it and develop a stereotype of who rides this board. After riding a bi-lev, you would not even consider riding a concave, it slides better and faster, it snaps more consistent, and it seems to just have an overall feel of consistency when you ride it. Sure, you can knock it, but at least be educated, and ride it before knocking it. To be full of statements about skateboarding, if skating did not evolve to where it is today, you would either be doing flat land tricks with bennett trucks and slip on vans, or you would still be slashing around through cones on steel wheels bolted to a 2''x4'', that were taken of your sisters' rollerskates.
