how well do they work? and should they be in the front of back of a winch?

no but you still have to be careful and sometimes stand on the back so it dont flip. depends on how the frame is built.

am i really the first one to correct this shizzle..... we use STAKES in winching not steaks ... although i would love to eat some steaks, i would hate to bite into some stakes.... goddamn

yea i always use them to post my winch in one at each corner. but i still have problems with the winch lifting up if i dont stand one the back.

a dude told me on here to use a ladder. set the winch on the back, use like 3 or 4 tie downs to the ladder, and stand on the back of the ladder. pretty nice way to do it. what about something like a weight/super stake to attach to the hitch for ground winching? someone go fab one.
