No offense to the good people in New Orleans, but I hope to God it goes your way and not over Florida. Everyone is going to be at the Orlando SurfExpo this weekend, and FLORIDA deserves a F@#in break!
If it does hit Florida, you might as well grab your surf Board.
Peace!

Ivan is trying to ruin my trip to Expo this weekend!
If this storm does hit New Orleans, you can kiss it goodbye because New Orleans will be the new path for the Mississippi River. The computer models are not predicting it to hit New Orleans head on, but the storm is so big, we will probably still feel the effects of it wherever it lands on the Gulf coast. It is going to be bad news for everyone whereever this thing decides to hit land. Good luck to all of you in Ivan's path. Be safe!

theyve predicted hurricane paths so terribly this season. they were really off with charlie and frances, they dont seem to take into consideration the momentum the storm has and the way its spinning and moving. i think sometimes they predict it in a way to entice more viewers to keep updated.
and new orleans is really low level. floods easily, their dead people used to float around the city when it would rain. if it gets a decent piece you could be able to wakeskate behind your boats all around town.

ya the FLA definitely needs a break. hopefully its takes a sharp turn west and takes out mexico so the gulf coast of florida gets some pacific surf... i dont really want it to hit mexico or anyone for that matter, but i do want really good surf everyday

Dave I hear you tenfold!!!
SARS ruined my trip to China/Vietnam, now Ivan is ruining my trip to SurfExpo.
We are flying down come hell or high water (no pun intended).
I just hope that OWC still runs despite heavy winds.
If we can't ride while down in Orlando, look for me in the bar.
If I had to nominate one place for Ivan to hit, it would be for it to get sucked over to Costa Rica. I'm sure that all the Ticos (Costa Rican Locals) will welcome the big swells.
Peace!

liquid, the city used to flood really easily and the gravesites would flood and open the above ground vaults and caskets and corpses would float around the city. saw it on history channel.
