i just got glasses.. Sad

i dont like them but they do help me see the fourms. anyone else on here have them too? its such a big change

i used to barely ever wear em, now i am wearing em 24/7 just so i dont lose or break em, youll get used to it dont worry.

glasses for 8, contacts for 5, i'm ridiculously used to em' and actually prefer my glasses. Will be getting lasik in like 3 years Very Happy

glasses since 2nd grade and contacts right before 6th.
if they stay in all day then you don't even think about it at all.
try dailies, they're awesome.

glasses since 4th grade, had contacts by the end of 4th grade b/c I hated my glasses so much (13 years ago, damn I'm getting old). I plan on getting surgery within the next year or so

This is what I have. Its Strabismus (cross-eyes) Eostropia (inward turning of eyes)

I had it at birth, not until I was 3-4 months old did a doctor tell my parents that I needed eye surgery, which repairs the muscles in the eye to prevent the lazy eye.

I had it again at the age of 3, and then again at the age of 13. I don't remember the first two surgeries, because I was too young, but I am fully aware of what happened when I was 13.

It was scary, the wait, getting IV, but the valum (spelling?) I got was amazing. As soon as I went into the operating room I forgot everything after that, and I woke up unable to move my left eye. The one they operated on.

I have been wearing contacts ever since the age of 14, and was told that I would possibly need another surgery as early as the age of 21.

Thats my story I guess.

Oh and I an ineligible to get Lasik so I am stuck w/ this forever. Sad

get lasik the day you can afford it or have insurance that covers it!
