Well about a month or so ago I moved from Northeast Pennsylvania to around hagerstown maryland

so I guess the mail takes a while to get redirected down here, and of course my mother waits like forever to give me it.

Today she gives me a stack, and its got the usual college offers, and one from my bank.

well apparantly when I bought the "N" series at the beginning of the month (i bought the last 3 on my check card, but the other one was on my itunes gift card) I tunes didn't charge it to my account until september 22nd. when i bought the stuff off Itunes i had like 30 something dollars in my account.

well a week later i had to get gas, so i checked to see what my available balance was and charged all but (2.51 to be exact)

well i forgot about the 50 cent fee for not being M&T's atm so that left 2.01

well when apple went to charge my account on the 22nd they were short by 96 cents M&T decided to charge me $32 in insufficient funds fee and another 10 dollars for every 5 consecutive business days my account is in the negatives.

So the problem is that I don't have the money to get back up there and pay the negative balance (for gas), and I don't have the money to pay the fee either.

will this effect my credit? (i'm almost positive no, since its a checking account, but just want to be sure)

-$42.96 right now and it will be -$52.96 before i even have the CHANCE to drive back up there

I had these kind of fee's waived before because it was bank error, but this time its purely me and inconvenience, and it really really pisses me off.

not hating but, you're really making yourself look like a pu**y.

i overdrew my account wayyyyy too many times to count and always get finned out the ass.

infact debt collectors have been calling me for the last 4 months because i owe ALOT of money that i really don't feel like paying. so i'm not gunna.

quit crying over 50 bucks. Laughing

skateonwater, skateonwater, well i'm going to owe atleast 50 bucks for not having an extra dollar in my checking account. not including the 80 bucks to pay for gas to get there and back

and i'm currently unemployed because i've been going to school full time. I was just going to wait it off until winter because i have an in at a nearby slope. I have no problem with getting a job, its just that i'm going to have to get one really really fast.

Scott, it may not affect his credit for one major reason: banks are relatively reasonable. You can be late on a payment and have it not affect your credit. They understand that extenuating circumstances come up. He does need to call the bank ASAP and explain the situation. It's all about keeping in good standing with your bank/credit provider. The more this happens, they will more likely a mark on his credit. (They technically can do it now though, so that's why it's important to call ASAP).

You are very young though, so you haven't really had the opportunity to build credit. You will be fine, it isn't something to get worked up over. Just take care of it.
