Who all watched the debate last night? I know it's not quite as important as the Presidential debates, but it's still fun to watch. I'll go ahead and throw it out there that yes, I am a Democrat, but I gave Palin a chance at one point. She didn't answer a single question last night when Biden answered basically everything and actually sounded like a politician (not a down-home hockey mom). Seriously though, if McCain is elected and dies in office (he is basically at the age of the average male life span) she will become president. SCARY. I don't want my friend's mom running our country, especially right now... Just wanted to see everyone's opinions on this.

yeah but biden had 11 false statements...... Palin answered all of her questions right for the most part.

mank the tank,if you count her talking about how she can relate to most "Amurricans", then she probably did well there (she f!cking winked into the camera at one point). But she didn't answer a question directly. Period. Biden for President.

I liked how whenever Biden changed topics or made a new point she would half-panic and shuffle through her little cue cards...because actually understanding the issues you're supposed to be backing is way too much to ask... Smash

Anyone that isn't registered to vote, please don't even chime in on these political threads. The reality is, you're not doing your part as a citizen and really your opinion/voice means nothing because you are doing nothing with it. Sorry to sound like a prick but it's just the way it is.

The words of another that sum it up pretty good:

Any objective viewer of the debate will agree that Biden won hands down. And all the polls are showing it. Hell, he was better than Obama last week. He was specific and consistent, and came off as knowledgeable, experienced, and genuine. Palin didn't answer a single question, read off talking points, and spoke in generalities. The moderator was a joke, though to be fair the format of the debate didn't really allow her to ask tough questions and follow-up on candidates' answers.

Like I said a couple days ago, the only argument that can be made about Palin's "success" was that she didn't completely crash and burn. Again, the virtue of low (no) expectations from the conservative base, who clearly are always thinking about the country first (roll eyes).

Last night did nothing to move independents - who, make no mistake, will decide this election - toward McCain/Palin. On the contrary, most uncommitted/independent voters seem to agree that Biden did better last night, and were singularly unimpressed by Palin's obvious unfamiliarity with the issues. Granted, McCain was put between a rock and hard place - he needs to rally the conservative base who mistrusts him, while also persuading independents and moderates. He threw in his lot with the base, and now he's paying for it.

Bottom line, she did nothing to staunch the steady movement of support toward Obama/Biden. All she did was not completely destroy her campaign. Good job!

palin is an idiot....and so is mccain....and so is obama....

we are screwed.....anyone wanna invade a small island with me and start the first shredding only country....?...ps it will be legal there ......
