Calskater23, we are artificially doing what the sun does every single day for us by POSSIBLY making miniature black holes and many people for that one black hole will eat therefore growing into a larger one and so forth _________________

Parker, the sun doesn't make black holes. the center of the milky way galaxy is a blackhole. |

JeffKnox, yeah.. just saw a guy explaining it on tv. they happen but the conditions are not right to maintain the black hole |

i was talking to a bunch of stoners about this subject last night... i was not amussed.
i dout anything will happen or change... its crazy to think though, why exactly would we wanna recreate the big bang?
besides to say "hey i just recreated the big bang!!" |

Because we can now start to weed theories out by proving or disproving them. This will help us study matter and physical reality on a fundamental level. The same fundamentals that make up every aspect of your physical world. This will also help us to better understand what exactly we are on a physical level and perhaps let us explore and actually test dimensions that we once had to rely strictly on mathematical equations for. The interesting thing about recreating a big bang is we will be able to witness and study it which in turn will help us piece together a lot of the confusion about our universe. With out being able to test, a theory will always be a theory. The next step is applying that knowledge to the non-physical realm of your own consciousness and what it all means. I am really interested to see what the hardcore religious people have to say about what we do find out. _________________ The promise of heaven out of reach.

-=AlexXx=-, he said even a failure to find the particle would be a sucess
we just need to prove this theory , so let the man tinker
he might get a prize or something , but from the pics it dosent look like he will get to enjoy much else in his life.
atleast we get to wakeskate _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

brassmonkey, POPTART, Gotcha that is crazy. Thanks for the quick explaination. Thats crazy to think about. So your saying if they didnt find a particle that would disprove the "big bang" theory? |

-=AlexXx=-, it wouldn't disprove it but it would be a successful endeavor to find or not find the particle
it would also shed some light on the Black matter...or whatever they call it that bends the light in the universe
the failure to find the particle would not disprove big bang because of the variables,
well it didn't work so we cant conclude it doesn't exist because we wont know Why it didn't work, but we wont know what is going to happen _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |

hopefully it will begin to unlock the mystery that is dark matter. something that makes up the majority of the mass in the universe. we currently have no idea what it could be, we know it is not made from atoms and is something completely different than we have ever seen before. currently these particles of dark matter are traveling through your body as you read this. They are also looking for the "god particle" which if i understand correctly is the particles that other particles have come from. kinda like the OG particle no matter what happens it will be exciting to find out what happens. They say the black holes would never be a threat to the earth as well. and the test isnt trying to figure out what happens at the big bang. it what happens one nano second AFTER the big bang. |

shmifty, dont forget about dark energy as well... lol
the god particle has to do with how particles acquired mass....
The Higgs boson or BEH Mechanism, popularised as the "God Particle", is a hypothetical massive scalar elementary particle predicted to exist by the Standard Model of particle physics; and is the only Standard Model particle not yet observed. An experimental observation of it would help to explain how otherwise massless elementary particles cause matter to have mass. More specifically, the Higgs boson would explain the difference between the massless photon and the relatively massive W and Z bosons. Elementary particle masses, and the differences between electromagnetism (caused by the photon) and the weak force (caused by the W and Z bosons), are critical to many aspects of the structure of microscopic (and hence macroscopic) matter; thus, if it exists, the Higgs boson is an integral and pervasive component of the material world. _________________ PAVT since '05/'06 |

Isn't even close yet. Everytime they think they are on to something they add another dimension. _________________ The promise of heaven out of reach.

i think in the book .... they were using anti matter.... not dark matter... dark matter is everywhere and makes up like 90 percent of the universe.... yet no one can seem to figure out what it is or how it works...
so much we dont know _________________ PAVT since '05/'06 |

brassmonkey, I know it is such an undeveloped theory, they need more research before proposing that propaganda _________________
