DC's account has been put on a time out for the next month. We did what we felt was necessary in regards to keeping the forums moving smoothly. A lot of people were complaining about him, and we had to take that under consideration, no one user is more important than the general quality of the forums and he was having a negative impact so we had to make a tough call...

DC, actually it wasn't my decision, it was a discussion that happened within the modsquad. Like Top Hat said, none of us wanted to do it but at some point if you have a ton of users complaining, you have to listen to them.

ButterLicious, Dragon88 does not lock accounts, it's me. But I did ask all of the mods for their opinion because it was something I really struggled with (and I explained everything in a fair private message to dirty cracker). So if you want to be pissed, blame me, I don't care.

And for the record, he's not banned. You would not believe how many people wanted me to ban him. I waited for a long time to actually do anything about it. I've said it a million times to the other mods, and to two users I contacted today--I hate the idea of exclusion. I absolutely hate the idea of kicking people out because this is a community. However, being that it is a community, I also need to listen to how people feel about the site, what seems to be a consistent issue, etc. If one guy is complaing about one person, I generally leave that as a "personal" issue. If a bunch of people are complaining about the same person, there might be a problem. Such was the case with dirtycracker. I decided that the best course of action would be to lock his account for a month. Now there's nobody to impress. If he's truly down, he'll be down for wakeskating and the site in a month. If anything, he should seize this opportunity as a way to rise to the occassion and let people know that he's sincere about what he's doing, because a lot of people seem to doubt that...

And to the people who thought he brought the stoke, I just want you to know that you're the minority and you're why I put this off for so long. Some people genuinely enjoyed his posting. Others completely despised it. Ulitmately, given the critiques I've heard about this site, I think it's important to be a little bit more pro-active as far as what's going on in the forums, monitoring who's really contributing (even in the smallest way) vs. who's being a total jerk and is ruining the vibes for other people.

Flap Jack 5, the attitude reflected in your post is what we're trying to avoid on here. Talking shizzle does NOTHING for this site, and does nothing for the community. Understand that people come on here because they have a common interest that is wakeskating. Wakeskating is the prime reason people come on to this site. The don't come on here to hear trash talk from people like you or anyone else. Consider that the next time you want to make a post.

hopefully when he comes back he will seriously think about getting people excited about wakeskating instead of putting people down and getting into fights... i completely agree with the mods decision...

im sure he will have a month to work on his filming and bring us a new film or two... and if his attitude improves i will be the first person to support him...
