I think you're generalizing. And really, how many kids on here actually have shiznackle boats to smash into rails? But they probably have 250-275 dollar wakeskates they could throw through a window or something...

All I know is I'd rather have genuine people in wakeskating, rather than a bunch of people changing because they feel like they need to fit the mold of what a wakeskater really is...

Why do you think that damage and destruction is important to wakeskating?

tons of people love destruction...probably 90% of the USA population...thats why action movies do so well in the box office. JD have you ever destroyed something?...like smashed the hell out of a TV or thrown rocks through old cars in a junk yard...its fun. And if your a pro wakeskater and your filming a video and have some money to put into it why not have a little extra fun destroying something like a rail....and it will provide entertainment for the kiddies. Actually no! but I did light my hot wheels on fire so I guess that is semi destructive. If you want to be a stuntman go for it but I sorta see that as a fringe element to extreme sports.

jd, but then again look at the CKY series of videos, which spawned jackass, which spawned jackass: the movie( and numerous copy cats ) , which spawned viva la bam, and wild boys, so maybe it isn't as fringe as you might think

Kento911,
I still think that it is fringe admittedly kids will definitely pay to see it but there are very few people out doing it. I don't think that it should be considered common or an anthem for the sport.
