its pretty windy here now, the power keeps going out every hour or so for a minute... but other then that its lame lol. cant wait for the calm after the storm... Glass.

So has anyone else notcied 94L I believe is its name, is suppose to have winds over 100 mph in 5 days and be heading this way

Good evening!

Upon analysis of Doppler radar, FAY is slowing moving to the north. I expect this motion to continue, with a bend to the NW, later on. Based on steering current layers forecast, and current steering map indicates a weakness right now over Alabama, and the flow is situated SSE-NNW. She should begin to head for that weakeness. Some models indicate that FAY may move west, or south of west for a short time. This may be possible...but until I see a difference in the position of the ridge to her north, I am more likely at this time to favor the GFDL or blend of the HWRF and GFDL.

94L is undergoing some shear at this time, as it lies at the base of the TUTT axis. Forecast wind shear maps indicate this TUTT axis to lift NW. Given this, and the forecast ofe a more relaxed upper environment in a couple days, I am not willing to count 94L out at this time.

An area of disturbed weather is located to the ESE of 94L. This area continues to remain fairly organized, and has some good convective activity associated with it. In fact, the last few frams of satellite loop imagery shows this may be getting slowly better organized. I feel if this holds solid overnight, that it may be designated 95L sometime tomorrow. Upper level winds ahead of this system are supposed to become more conducive for development over the next 72 hours or so (some easterly shear out there right now). I am calling for some slow development of this area, and will continue to monitor it closely.

Oh, because NOAA Hurricane Center mentioned it, but said it has a low probability of forming, let alone 100mph winds in 5 days? I hope not, we're supposed to go to the Keys! Smile
