Hey I just got back from the lake with my new 08 Hampson. This is my first skate and I have a question on the maintenance. The toe-side edge on my board is kinda soft now. The sealant is essentially gone and the wood is exposed.
Is this a common occurrence, I know its bad to have the bare wood exposed so what's up. 3 days and I need to apply a sealant? So much for the marine grade epoxy mumbo-jumbo.

traded the SST in on a 08 hampson and mine started delaming the first time i rode it. The performance guy said ride it till your tired of it bring it in and get you a new one. hell i even sealed the holes on my last SST deck and it still got waterlogged and it broke after 5 sets. 1 year warranty FTW

A year?, The LF website says its a 90 day warranty on woodskates. But yeah what you said sounds about right. Ride it then warrant it. Im surprised they get thrashed so easily.
On a side note what's up with the dark wood hampsons/reed. Were they just stained or is the wood different. Either way they look awesome.

| dude, i would just ride it and not worry about it. chill, ride it, and and if it gets too bad to ride then the wakeskating gods will figure something out and it will all work out... thats what i would do. lol |
