If you have a scape that you're worried about, you could seal it with spar marine grade varnish. I've also used some other high end sealants that have really done the job nicely. But that board was probably something like 100.00. It's not a high quality wakeskate that's going to last you a long time. You'd have better luck with a higher end wood concave, or a composite style board, whether it be a hyperlite or an integrity. And all of those pretty much run the spectrum in board pricing...wood concaves start at like 220 or so and integrity's are in the 330-405 range, depending on what you choose. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com*

Now I understand. I made an assumption based on your signature. Did you buy the one with the PBT base or is it completely wood?
