"ts boardslide"

so some of you are going to hate me for saying this, but there's no such thing as a toeside boardslide. It's a frontside boardslide, whether it's on the lip or on a rail. Sometimes the tour announcers will say things like "heelslide boardslide" and it makes me question their credibility. Or at the very least, it makes me question who in the world started to use that term, and it makes me want to put a picture of the deceased* under their pillow.

Some might say, "hey jerk, this isn't skateboarding." And you're right, it isn't. But it isn't wakeboarding either, and if it were, we'd probably already have re-named nearly every other trick that was inspired by skateboarding.

so anyway, this is all very lighthearted, but also serious in that "toeside boardslide" is an inaccurate term. Good luck and god speed!

*So have you seen that movie with nicole kidman called "the others**"? You know how there are these caretakers for the property and later in the film nicole's character finds these pictures of them under a bed matress or something, except that they're not alive in those pictures? It was actually common for pictures to be taken of the dead, even in somewhat recent times. Well, my sister thought it would be funny to do something similar to me. She bought a picture of what appears to be a deceased, yet peaceful looking old lady and she put it under my pillow. I had a dream about it last night. I'll never forgive her for this!!!

i come from skateboarding so it's natural for me. i'd say some of the announcers might come from a wakeboarding background (?) and use it due to that.
