its easier to wakeboard at a beginner standpoint. if you skateboard you will enjoy wakeskating more.
either are great sports and best of luck to you _________________ -andrew- |

i would agree that wakeboarding is easier to start off. Then try wakeskating, and decide what you like best. Wakeskating is alot more like skateboarding, with more skate-oreinted tricks like shuvs, flip tricks, ect. |

to be honest with you i dont think wakeboarding or wakeskating is easier at a beginners stand point
i think they're both the same thing pretty much to just get up and carve around
lots of beginners i've rode with prefer wakeskating because the feeling of freedom opposed to being strapped down
with a skate background like yours i think you'd enjoy wakeskating more, because wakeskating is skateboarding on the water pretty much, once you land your first shuv, you'll be hooked
but either way have fun doing it brother, dont get frustrated, stoked for you bro _________________ Team Dream Sleds

personally, being a "beginner" i love wakeskating, because of the freedom like bob., said... wakeboarding is cool and all but i love to skate... but i have a friend who has skateboarded his whole life and loves wakeboarding better, and i've never skateboarded and i love wakeskating... if you can decide which one to do, make a friend on here, go try it out... |

If you skateboarded for seven years definitely give wakeskating a shot and try and stick with it for a while, because as Michael John the AF model says "It is, wakeskating is just skateboarding on the water "
