Gnarly Dancer 42, some people might be taking it seriously, but some people also really believe in what they're a part of and what they're representing.

As a non-wakeskater writing for a wakeskating website, he's entitled to believe or write what he wants, or I guess write what he's told to write (according to his comment). But just because you wrote something with the intention of it being funny, doesn't necessarily mean it will succeed in being funny, or people have to read it as funny. That's what rhetoric, style and knowing your audience is all about.

I don't understand why someone who doesn't even wakeskate is working for an online wakeskate magazine?? Doesn't make sense to me. But that's probably why he thought it was funny, he was/is clueless to his audience, and came off like an arrogant jack ass. Good one I guess? I just think Alliance could do with some more authors that skate, people who shred skooters should write articles for skooter zines.
