Pro Tour, Do I have what it takes?

hey hey,

I want to maybe hit up the orlando stop at the start of the year to see how I do, heres my trick list do you think I have what it takes?

Tricks on wakeskate: Frontside lipslides/boardslides and backside lipslides/boardslides,
Ollie 180’s, frontside lipslides backside 270 out, Backside lipslides frontside 270 out,
Backside Shuvits, Frontside Shuvits, Lipslide fs Shuv out, Lipslide Bs 270 Shuv out, Bs
Board frontside Shuv out, Frontside board Shuv out, Backside lip shuv out, backside lip
fs 270 shuv out, oille frontside 270 to switch backslide lip, shuv inside out, revert shuv,
switch frontside bigspins, shuv into lipslide, shuv into bs boardslide, 360 Shuvit and
W2W

Any rider can win a contest on any given day. If you want to compete, then go for it. Look at all of the different winners from this past season.

The new format is to help ensure that pro level riding is what the pro tour consist of, so if you aren't ready for the tour yet then you will get weeded out at the first stop. On that note, you still have about a year to practice before the big event.

why dont you take a trip sometime down to florida and compete in some stuff there? that will kinda let you compare your skills to a lot of other good riders.

also if you havent done so already, check out the videos i posted of all of the final runs at the irvine pwt. that will give you a taste of what goes down on tour.

scott a, I dont know why but when I try to open those videos it says windows media error, but ya I really want to see the videos!!

jd, its hard for me to get video, i dont have a program to make a vid and most of the time im behind my zod and its hard to get two ppl in there haha

Parky, i got all of those tricks that u are doing too but then i went to a local comp i got beat cause everyone else is progressing soooo fast too u know. i just cant believe the progression of this sport and how fast it is really taking place! so great to be a part of it whether ur the best or not!

plus my season isn't done im still progressing... i learned alot of that stuff in a week haha

From looking at those Pro tour videos, the riding level doesn't look that sick...

tricky thing is pulling tricks in a row with no falls. That's probably why it's not that sick

Nekkie, ur right...the pro tour videos from this past year werent that impressive. but alot of the riding at the local comp i was at was almost pro tour material. kids were busting 3 shuvits. big spins. kickflip attempts. and all of the shuvit on shuvit off combos. pro tour next year will be insane!

if you can pull that list of tricks on a consistant level you may have a chance,when the pro tour made it's stop in fort worth i rode on the back of the jet ski, the riders are good but none of them had a no fall run they all fall and miss tricks, there was a little girl who really showed her skills she could shove and flip any thing any time, if you think you have the skills give it a shot man it doesnt hurt to try and then atleast you'll know what you need to do to step up your game and try next time
