I'm looking for some new shoes to ride in, and this year has got some SICK models coming out, if you're not limited to "wakeskate specific" shoes. For those of you that are like me in that you enjoy a little extra swing weight, some more durability, a reduced price tag, and of course comfort in the shoes you ride in. I strongly suggest you check these out.
I'm hoping to order one pair of shoes today (19th), and there's just so many sick models that i'm having a hard time deciding. Someone help me out
New DVS Munition CT. I felt these at my local skate shop today, and the new toecap material is beyond sick. It will last forever.
ès Theory. I used a pair of these for skateboarding. Very good shoes. Durable and the grip is perfect. The white material won't absorb water, but the padding in the tongue and heel will. The weight seems like it will be just right when wet
ès Cassette Mid. I trust ès as a shoe company. The name excites me but i wouldn't actually consider them if they didn't look like a sick shoe. I loved mids when i used them for skateboarding. The material and sole look thin and comfy.
ès Square One (scuba steve colorway). No description needed really. They're a lot like some vans i have (below), which i use currently for skateboarding, and i love them.
Vans AV Sk8 Low. I use these right now for skateboarding, and i've wakeskated in them a few times, and really really like them (but prefer to keep these dry so i can still use them for skateboarding). The material is sick, they're super comfy and allow you to feel the board well due to the thin sole. Vans waffle grip is sex. Always.
DVS Gavin Classic CT. Slim, simple design. Thin shoes, look like they are super comfy, maybe not the most durable, though.
Osiris Chino Low. Slim design, simple yet advanced looking.
Emerica Reynolds 3. I used these for skateboarding a while back (who hasn't?) Perfectly slim design, thin sole, etc. Can't go wrong with this design, my only concern, again, is durability.
Vox Drehobl. Dan Drehobl is one interesting skateboarder, i've had my eye on him for a while and little did i know, he has a pro model with Vox footwear. These appear to have a slim design and some sort of canvas-like material on most of the shoe. Dan shreds hard and i trust he wouldn't release a shoe that doesn't hold up.
I'll post more as i find them, but for now, that's what's up. Hope i helped anyone in search of shoes _________________ - Evan Molina |

i had a pair of the Munition CTs, i loved them, really low bulk tongue, super grippy, and the soles feel like i am not wearing shoes. but they sink... and fast
i am riding some ès Theorys right now, better for skateboarding imo, great grip, a little too heavy when wet than i would like. Like most other shoes the foot bed slides. The sole/foot beds are amazing. I ride a lot more stairs because there I don't get heel bruise in them. |

Parker, If my shoes fall off i like to be able to see them, especially since the lake i ride in is.. not quite the clearest water at the places i ride in _________________ - Evan Molina |

SwissArmyKnife, That sucks that the Munition CT's sink What's the side material on your Theory's? I wasn't really considering them until i saw the model i posted.. it's got like a nylon-like material with holes.. _________________ - Evan Molina |

mine are all leather/suede, the ones you posted look like they are more adequately suited for wakeskating.
i like those chino low's too, but have never ridden them |

SwissArmyKnife, I have it pretty much narrowed down to the Chino Low's and the Vox Drehobl's. The Theory's are more expensive and I heard the white material tears up quick. And, come to think of it, the Theory's i used skateboarding, the sole started peeling off.. haha. So now it's between the Chino's and the Drehobl's.. _________________ - Evan Molina |

Get the es cassette low, I think they're way sicker.
But I had some old Munition CT's and they were one of my favorite shoes. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/nizzate/ |

| I've always liked accels or some variation of that shoe for skating. haven't tried using it for wakeskating. right now I'm using some slip ons and after getting used to a looser fit they work pretty good. I think I might get some vans canvas shoes because I don't think they hold much water and you really can't go wrong with van's. |

I used my reynolds 3's for the wake, and while i was attempting a kicky it flung off and sunk. its a really good shoe to use though, gets a little heavy but who cares, and just tighten them up a shizzle load if you are going to try kickys. and now i rock the old skool vans |
