so I sold the devotid team boat about three weeks ago against my wishes, but hey we needed more tooling and loot for the move coming up. So until our new winch is done, whenever i get to ride its because someone calls me and invites me to come along on their boat.
I got a call about 4:30 last night from a buddy of mine with an older barefoot 190 mastercraft. These guys are hardcore waterskiers and barefooters and i love that they call me to come wakeskate whenever they go out. so when i got done with my wakeskate set i thought "hey that waterskiing stuff looks different let me try that" hahaha i was right. it is crazy.

5 tries of practically bonging lake water i got up. rode around a little and you can see from the pics i was laughing the whole time. Talk about different, i mean ive never even snowskied before let alone a single slalom ski! i rode about 3 minutes and felt like i just ran a marathon.

but i had to do it once to see what it was all about. it was cool..... but not my thing. i do have a lot more respect for the people who lay it down slalom style now though.

So go ahead and post those knee boarding , skiing and whatever else youve done on the water just to "try it"

thanks to josh, rob and jared for the free lesson hahaha

I leanred to ski about 2 years after i got up on a wakeboard the first time..It was out of order i know. This is the only skiing pic i have from that day, and it's odd that i still have 2 on, because it didn't take long for me to kick the second one off. Slalom is actually pretty fun, i always forget to grab one to take on the boat with us when we go wakeboard/skate.

And then of course, there is the days of tubing..

devotid, ahaha, my buddys got a 197 Mastercraft and hes like a competion slolem skier, HES NUTs i never had respect for skier;s before i saw him put up 12 ft walls of water and go nearly 40 mph. He made me try skiing once, cuz i never had before, i got up first try then tossed off one of the ski's and slolemed for a few minutes then got really board and tried to jump the wake... skiing is crazy to watch if your watching the right person... but god is it boring to do... lol

Although its embarrassing I've grown up in a family of watersports enthusiasts and I have been known to shred the stick before, I can actually still run the slalom course but I'd much rather ride my skate. But It makes my dad happy if i still run the course with him Birthday
