has anyone used a grinch winch on the beach or anywhere with salt water?
Does the saltwater do any damage to the winch? Or is it pretty safe to just let it rip on the beach?

ive used a grinch at the beach in the salt water, its fine, just wash the winch down with fresh water when you get down to keep the rust away, and use some WD-40 on the major bolts and wat nots, dont want your winch rusting up

Place the winch at the end of a cove. You want the line to NOT drag in the sand when the rider is pulling line out. Other than that ur golden.

My line got embedded with sand and turned all 1000' into sand paper and cut deep into all my rollers. Now the rollers cut the line every few pulls and im gonna have to buy more Amsteel Crying or Very sad

we used nicks grinch and at our beach and just strapped it onto a broken pier and then we used DMoneyy's on the same spot and there weren't problems with either of them. just spray TC-11 on all the metal parts afterwards and wipe down the axle.
