I am investing in a new jet ski, prefferably a sea doo, and I was wondering if I really do need the wake edition to skate behind it. Any suggestions?
Note: I am not buying a jet ski strictly for skating.
Thanks in advance. |

A jet ski should only be used for skatin' or shooting footy. that is the only advice I can give you, besides come to Baytown and check out cedar bayou |

Buy a nice 4 stroke, and a pylon for the back.
And when you ride, make sure the back is trimmed all the way down so the wake peaks instead of rolling over. |

Sam Paulson, your logic is flawed.
i have a wake edition and like it ALOT! its a gas hog though.
it has a really nice pull and has some ass. _________________

EJazzle, yeah I know. I was just meant, it doesn't have to be anything fancy to pull you. _________________

| RecriminatioN, i really don't like the wake edition's wake very much. i prefer the yamahas like the ones at the projects. it is mostly based upon personal opinion and style though. |

Sam Paulson, exactly.
i ride behind a 1 1/2 seater kawasaki..the only time i put it in the water is to ride. or maybe to get some girls out to the lake...but then i usually skate anyway. _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

I have a Sea-doo GTX and love it. I would really suggest a non-supercharged one. The N/As are a lot better on gas and more reliable. I don't have any of the wake stuff. But I'm planning on getting a pylon soon. Then maybe the ballasts if I have some extra cash later in the summer.
The only thing that I don't like about the Sea-doos compared to the Yamahas is that only the wake edition comes with adjustable trim. That could help the wake a lot, and a lot of Yamahas come with that option.
Basically get whatever you can find for the best price. |
