|
|
I am riding behind a boat with a 50 h.p. outboard that goes about 30 m.p.h. I don't have a pole in it, just the rings on the back of the transom. I tried to skate today, but the water kept going over the top of my board until I couldn't hold on any longer. I got up one time and it was great, but couldn't do a repeat performance. Please give me some starting out tips.
Thanks, Steve |

| Be patient. Do not stand up. I got a boat that doesn't plain off to easily. Plus wakeskates are smaller so they take more time to get enough surface area above the water. So, let your knees come to your chest, keep your weight even on both feet, and hold that position until THE BOAT HAS PULLED YOU UP then you can extend your knees and ride away. Have fun! |

maybe I'm just lucky but I got up on my first try ever early this year. I've been wakeboarding for a few years so maybe that helps... i got up behind a 15 horse a few days ago too. I can see why you might have troubles with that... you drag for a longgggg while until you get above water _________________ www.sattelyte.com

thats nothing... 9.9 hp in a flat bottom 8' soft hull zodiac is difficult. but once you get up you can horse the boat around and get away with the equivalent of murder in sketchy landings. _________________ you must lose your mind to come to your senses. |
