Cool Jake...I'm glad you liked the board! I'll look forward to hooking up to ride again soon, as long as you can handle a bunch of old guys! LOL
I'll be out this weekend for the Austin 3Ride stomping all over my Integrity!

Damn Nekkie, I feel for ya! Good thing your Integrity skate is made with DuraSurf, all that UPS scanning would wear out any wood skate!

I just got my Integrity wakeskate and need some opinions and pointers on gripping it.
Do you need to use some kind of marine glue for the grip tape that comes with the Integrity? So far it seems like the sticky backing is enough.
Btw.. Has anyone used Kampus eva on an integrity before?
I am used to hyperlite eva grip and seem to like it(very soft), so I ordered a Kampus Eva Grip Kit to put on the Integrity board. The first thing I noticed was how thick the Kampus Eva top is compared to hyperlite. The thickness and a few other things kept me from using it on the Integrity wakeskate.
1. Since the Kampus eva top is thicker, I was concernaed that the thickness might affect the performance of the board(heavier, ride higher, etc) compared to grip tape.
2. It seems like it would be tougher to make sure the eva is secured to the board because it is not as plyable as the hyperlite grip or grip tape going by the thickness of the Kampus Eva and how it feels. The thick kampus eva might not comform to the concave very easily.
3a. The eva grip kit instructions mention that the grip should be heated up and some kind of glue applied to the surface to make sure it sticks which adds to the cost of using it. The grip tape that comes with the Integrity wakeskate seems to not need that extra glue?
4. The thick eva top might look and feel a little strange since it will stick up so much higher than the top of the wakeskate.
I am no expert on board grip since I have only ever used hyperlite eva grip so take the above info with a few grains of salt

1-2-4: eva sucks After some time you won't scratch your legs much anymore with grip tape. And it is SO much better for riding.
3: Integrity skates come with Jessup grip. And you don't need to apply any other kind of glue on it. Just make sure you press very firmly everywhere on the surface of the board after applying the grip. Schmaltz posted a few times instructions on how to do it.
Don't go for EVA top

Nekkie, Thanks for the info. That helped a bunch. Now if I can just get over this cold which is making me feel like crap I might actually get to try the board :/ . It figures that the first weekend that I get the Integrity wakeskate I am sick as a dog
