wakemitch, i'm not an expert on shoe construction terminology and such, but vulcanized outsoles are like a two piece outsole and they have that wrap around the perimeter of the shoe (similar to those munition CTs above). Normal shoes are all one piece. Hopefully that makes sense, but the differences are distinct when you have them side by side.

mario c, there will be something--"the best yet." I was really digging the triumphs as well...they were my favorite mesh shoe for the public, but I do dig the kenyan style of shoe as well.

The Kenyans have lasted so long for me. Been rocking em since last summer and skating all the time and they are still in good shape. Dvs makes a tight shoe and im stoked to see what comes out this year for our sport

The Dirt on the Vulc.

Vulcanization refers to a specific curing process of rubber involving high heat and the addition of sulfur or other equivalent curatives. It is a chemical process in which polymer molecules are linked to other polymer molecules by atomic bridges composed of sulfur atoms or carbon to carbon bonds. The end result is that the springy rubber molecules become cross-linked to a greater or lesser extent. This makes the bulk material harder, much more durable and also more resistant to chemical attack. It also makes the surface of the material smoother and prevents it from sticking to metal or plastic chemical catalysts.
This heavily cross-linked polymer has strong covalent bonds, with strong forces between the chains, and is therefore an insoluble and infusible, thermosetting polymer.
The process is named after Vulcan, Roman god of fire.

That one kid was asking about the wilson 4s.

Maybe that other site just received their shoes, I really don't know. But the production tag on them says they were made last august: http://www.wakeskating.com/media/showphoto.php?photo=3529&cat=578

it should be clarified that these munition CTs don't have mesh on the side or the toebox area. It's a new material that was found by some of the DVS dudes. The white shoes (in wakeskatedude's post) look like a pair of photographer series shoes with canvas on the side, not mesh.

EDIT: The skate park of tampa has those as well. Whatever that white material is, it's not the same as what's on the team's wakeskate shoe. http://www.skateparkoftampa.com/spot/shop_shoec.aspx?ProductID=20663&ColorID=3359

electricsnow, i think you know more details,

but this shoes from frontline has following name: DVS Munition CT Swift SU/ME and they write that the side panels and the tongue are out of mesh in the product description, the toebox area is like every one can see not mesh.

i have no idea who is right, frontline or you. Confused

Edit: but the pictures on the frontline website are pictures from a sample collection, look at the picture from top, you can see the "Not For Resale" print which is a hint for a sample collection
