You cant nollie a wakeskate no matter on any wakeskate currently. And I wouldnt call it manualing when your on the tail. Because you dont really have to balance yourself like you would on wheels. If you want nose slides get a 4 trac.

You know, I read that too, and until I see what the design is, I won't be totally impressed. Every other year the pro's get a new signature board and 2005 will be the year that grubb and scott modify their current models. So it's hard to say if the design will be groundbreaking or not.

I know they want to try and find a way to keep some wood skates in the line because parks and ruck prefer the feel of wood.

Dammit, I have a Gate and it works fine for me (although that might just be because I suck and don't know the difference.) And I skateboard WAY more than I've ever wakeboarded, so it's not like I would want a board that feels more like a wakeboard. All I know is that it's really easy to ollie, and it releases pretty well for lip tricks and stuff (even with fins).

I have a gate and it is dope, you can lock onto a nose slide fairly easy with it. I think the gate is totaly worth the money.

I rode the gate and thought it sucked too. I don't even have time to list everything I disliked about it.

Is he balancing on a fin too? If not, wouldn't that just be a nose or tail slide? For a bluntslide, you need to be balancing on a truck or your wheels, and if you're not balancing on anything else it's just a nose or tailslide.

That to me is one of the faults of the gate, even with the kicktails, the fin is set so far in that you can't do a true bluntslide. The only deck I've seen thus far that can do true blunts is the 4-trac.

the beauty of wakeskating is that there are no trucks on the skate, so the tricks are not the same in skateboarding. a bluntside in wakeskating can be different then a bluntside in skateboarding
