it used to be all about the r.o.c. that mentality has seemed to dwindle.
people are free to buy what they want, and unfortunately, are free to post their negative thoughts.
i prefer to support the R.B.W.C.

| DirtyCracker, basically, my point is it has become a trend as of late, in and out of the ws.com community, to hate on big name companys. I personally don't ride LF, nor am i endorsing them by all of the posts i have made in this thread. I am just getting tired of people hating on a wakeskate just because of the name on the box the skate comes in.

yes thats exactly what im saying.
and people are on here every day saying that they broke a devotid, integrity, new or oak...................the difference is that they say that they were just bummed because they loved that board soooo much..... so for you to come on here and say not to buy LF is just uncalled for.....

You guys are pretty abrasive. Can't you just talk like civilized brothers of the same passion and help the heathen see past his evil ways? haha

| The Kid, skateboarders have been hating on big named companys forever. Surfing is the same way. Dont know about snowboarding but it might be. The big name companys are just that big named they will survive without the help of the core group of riders in the industry that arnt pro but still ride consistently.

i have NOTHING against liquid force all because of the riders they support. they have up to par designs and of course helped start the cassette legacy. they sell sooooo many more decks than any other wakeskate company due to the acceptance of the ski/boardshops that glorify everything to do with liquid force. i just don't understand how they can justify poor quality with a top notch warranty/customer service program. it seems that they would lose their profit by replacing two to three boards to every one they sell. i guess the profit margin is just that big.
if liquid force ever wanted a new high quality wood skate manufacturer, i know i die hard board maker, who is currently struggling to feed himself, that would be more than happy to lend a helping hand.

| jake .R., I wasn't trying to be negative in my post. I was just simply voicing my opinion. I may have come off a bit harsh hating on LF as a whole, but I was more than a little upset with my situation.

I am not posting here to join in on immature flaming and trash talk. I was not trying to offend anybody in any of my posts. If I did I am sorry. I was just trying to share what happened today.

Of course people will hate on the large brands but large brands also have something different to offer that the smaller brands cannot. the offerings run the gammut, from stable rider support to supporting events (like toe toe jam) videos, etc. Ultimately, they have the budget to offer a greater level of promotion that smaller companies, at this point, cannot offer or match. as far as I can see, in snowboarding, burton and ride don't have the same warranty problems. From my experience from working in a shop, even the low end boards from a large company are quality products (I should note that i have not handled their boards that end up in the big box stores, but I'm talking about their ~300.00 boards and up). When we had a warranty issue come in, the board was totally broken but was ridden hard. It's the low end companies in snowboarding that build low end shizzle that breaks way too fast and has akward parts that are basically impossible to replace without having to buy a new binding (or what have you).
That to me is the issue in wakeskating and it's always really disappointed me. Focus needs to be put on the lower priced/more affordable products because, generally speaking, the people who buy these boards are going to be entry level riders. These are the people that help build the base of the art and they become the future. If they have shiznackle products that always break, they're going to get turned off from having to deal with it--it's the same thing I've seen in snowboarding. Not everyone can afford a 300.00 wakeskate--that is for a select section of the market; for the most part, it's the people that are fully sold on wakeskating and want a high end, high performing product. but not everyone can afford that, and that is where your lower priced boards, or modestly priced conccaves are going to be key because they increase the accessibility factor.
