snappin' turtles are the worse!
they have massive jaw strength. almost as bad as a full grown croc.
wen i was skating at Base Camp in their rail lake they apparentally have a snappin turtle in there. scariest thing ever!

Mud crabs are the worst, i caught a nice big one at Logan cable a couple of months ago, one of those nasties would take off a toe.

I'd say with alligator snapping turtles like that, that they are nothing to be messed with. They're ambush predators and not nearly as timid as most turtles. Would suck to be walking a rope back and get too close to one and be snapped. Plus their necks can extend nearly the length of their body on some of them and the have a lock jaw that makes a pit bulls look weak Wouldn't be a pretty site if one got a hold of you. Here in S. FL, I've seen some 80-100lb'ers and also some huge softshell snappers, talkin bout a 3ft wide shell on some of those. Besides all that, you should be alright at your spot, just look where you walk.

after he cuts the head off, he hold a knife to it's mouth and it clamps down and hangs on tight. then he parades around with a turtle head on the end of his knife.

Turtles are way more scared of you than you are of them. But they will fvck your lunch box up if you get close enough.

ya ive seen one bite through the equivalent of a femur bone. Thats only going to happen if you lay down and put your leg in its mouth though.
