I got a K-39 for my 8-year old daughter to learn on last year, because it was the smallest deck I could find. She got up on it Very Happy , but it still looked kinda big for her, especially since I can ride it, at 6'1"-195 lbs. So when I saw the 36" Mini from NEW, I couldn't resist.

My daughter still prefers a foam top (she's seen my grip burns), so New special ordered some foam for the top, which turned out to be white - most unexpected! But it feels good, and she's stoked to ride it. Big thanks to NEW; you guys rock!

Here's a pic of it next to the K-39 for size comparison, and with the lucky recipient showing off the white foam top.

8 year old daughter that wakeskates. that is so awesome! it must make being a father that much cooler. the guy i ride with has a 3 year old son and we already have him riding on the ski so he gets used to it. when that kid gets a little older i might have to give new a call for a mini skate too.
