How do u recon, is the best way to anchor your winch to the ground when using it?

i mean.. once u are not gonna anchor it to the back of your car...what do u usualy do? tight to a tree.. nail it to the ground.. stuff like that...

iŽd be glad to know..becouse thats something that always botters me.

giant steak/rebar.......force with mallet into earth....strap to winch with motocross tiedown.....presto...fernando

Ratchet straps for the wise...walmart has em cheap. just make sure what your strapped to isn't going to move. Very Happy

treestraps are also quick and e-z , make shure to use a clevis!

hammer a steak in the ground then tie it to that if there isnt anything else around

JAM, The last thing I found that worked really well was putting nicks grinch on top of my hitch mount.. mo fugga didn't budge. Laughing

I use ratchet straps, hook them to the tie downs in the bed of my truck, through the frame of the winch kind of like }Winch{ on both sides. The sucker doesn't budge and the best part is I can back up to just about any spot and ride, when were done just throw your stuff in the truck and ride out.

Of course on some spots staking the winch to the ground is necessary, can't always get the truck at the right spot.
