I just got this deck last week with some of the GST 1.5 Obscura Fins
This is not the same deck as last year with a different graphic. The concave is more noticeable, the rails are not as round, no more pbt, and this years 40 is going to last!

Im pretty pumped on it. I got a chance to ride it yesterday but it was super choppy. So i couldnt get the full feel for it. Also i have been riding a 42 SST so it was different going back to a wood concave. But what i did notice is how much better the size was for me and i felt more in control over the board because my feet were able to make use of the concave and I could cover more of the board.

I was skeptical at first about not having pbt any more, but the new base material seems durable though. And its not as slippery as pbt which was nice.

Here are some pics of the deck and Obscura fins that came seperate

If I wasn't dead set on scoring a 08' integ, that'd probably be my next choice, wish you had that when you were down here.

I'm a little confused here. On the LF website they have the skate that wakemitch posted but on the wakeside site it is a lighter colored wood. So are some dark and some light? or...anyone know the deal?

Light

Are those fins glow-in-the-dark?

Yeah, I guess the very first few decks had issues that led to the grip sliding off. Perhaps sand off that top layer and throw some sealant on it then regrip it? Kind of a bummer, but it could be a whole lot worse.

All the new decks that I've seen are that darker color. Maybe that ligher graphic that wakeside has is an early prototype or mock up of some kind just to show off the graphic?
