I'm just about to order me a Tolstoy. But I had some questions first for all of you and maybe Shmaltz too if he's around.
1. Why isn't the griptape applied before shipping? What if I screw up putting it on?
2. I have always wakeskated finless, is this what most people do? Is it worth ordering some integrity fins with the board also?

we don't ship the board gripped because some people might want to buy eva soft grip elsewhere and apply that... also some people like to customize their grip with stickers or what ever pattern they see fit... we have instructions for putting the grip on and it comes in 2 pieces... so it's super easy to apply.
As far as the fins go they fit the rocker pattern perfect and the hardware it comes with seats flush with the deck so the screw head doesn't stick up at all. The channels help it track with out the fins... it's really up to you...
The reason why we decided to do things this way was so riders could customize their deck and not pay for things they don't need or want.

Crap i just finished the order with no fins. I'll try it out first and if its too slippery, then i'll order some real fast. But no fins is fun on a wakeskate. |

Hey Shmaltz, you're from Medford OR? My grandparents are from klamath falls. I go there every year (for a day or two). |

what you see in the picts is exactly what the grip comes like... if you really want me to do it for you i will just let me know in the comments box when you buy or send me an e-mail ahead of time... it's really only takes 2 minutes.
Yeah, i'm living here for 2 more months then i'm off to San Diego or San Jose not quite sure yet... |

I gather you can get the board w/o fins. However, can you get the board with out the fin holes? My fins as well as holes have been long gone on my board. |

all the boards are built with the fin holes... however when the grip goes on it covers the holes so water wont squirt out... Also it wont take on water thru the open holes, because we use all closed cell materials that won't absorb water. |

I don't mean to bring back such an old thread..
But I've been wondering the same thing as numb.
