Jetski-should I buy?

Considering buying my buddies ski off of him. Have been looking for a ski and he offered to sell me one of his. It's a 92 maybe 91 yamaha 2 stroke, i believe a 650... pulls a rider well. He said $800 for the ski and trailer. I've ridden behind it plenty of times and it rarely has problems, nothing major or expensive anyway.

Just wondering if $800 is a reasonable price? Should I offer him less?

Also I think it might need a battery, and will have to be registered and the trailer tagged, all reasonably minor expenses.

i'd say thats a really good deal if it really runs as well as you say it does. its probably below the blue book price

i have a couple on my video camera but they're still on there. it's all white and gray trim and the piece of the body under the bars is pink, was red but faded from being outside. In pretty good shape too, could use a wash and a buff, was considering painting it or getting it wrapped if that's possible i remember reading about a couple people doing that.
