Initially, I built the ramp and box to fit together and used 50 gallon drums for flotation which ultimately proved to be too unstable. I decided to replace the barrels with architectural foam and reduce the height of the box. The result is a much lighter and more stable box. I spent over $200 on materials for the box/ramp.
Here is a photo of the original design.
