I broke my leg in Dec. Stress fracture on the tib and fib. I can walk and have been riding the bike but I am far away from a sesh. my ankle is still sore seems to be taking a long time. Does anyone have any work outs or ideas other than to pay a physical therapist?

ive found that physical therapists are worth it if you are wanting to recover quickly, just my opinion though

I went to one session at the rehab place and just did the rest at home on my own. mine was a tib/fib break that I had to get bolts/plates in. I wish I could remember what they had me do but I'm drawing a blank.

nate, I basicly had the same issue as you.... I broke my tiba and pretty much blew out my ankle....

I really suggest physio, if you cant really afford it there is ways around it but if you can pack it once a week its good... heath care in canada is pretty much free so I was going to physio every second day for a few weeks... but main thing is get some good icing on it, one of the best things I found for it once I could walk, was walking!... you probably dont play hockey but skating did wonders for it.... Running was good as well once I could do it....

if your thigh got as small as mine did from not walking you might also want to work that upper leg as well to get back into things....

hope this helps...

Seriously go to one session and you'll know exactly what you need to do. That's what I did even though my insurance paid for it.
