Oh, 8 hours away. North or south? I've heard that there've been some trouble down south and it's not entirely safe for tourists down there while the north is supposed to be safe. Any comments on this?

I've been thinking about visiting Palau also but that's perhaps not necessary considering the fact that there is supposed to be locations in the Phillipines which are very much alike Palau. Any thoughts? I don't want to turn this thread into "Phillipines tourism 101" but I can't help to ask you. Thanks.

Tobias_Neumann, its perfectly safe! We always travel south from Manila to ride. 8 hours is fast...travel by night if you're going to CWC and just sleep on your way there.

Not sure about Palau but there are a lot of good locations here. Smile
