maybe try a lil WD40, let it soak for an hour and try them again, do u ride saltwater. If not, get a saw and just cut them biatches off. Or u could just leave them in, fins are a good thang. _________________ dbanana wrote:

or did you strip the screw head? If that's the case, I think there is some sort of tool to re-define the screw head. I don't know much about it (my dad has it though), but I also need something because I have a board I bought from someone that has a wacky screw and not only is it fully rusted, but it's pretty stripped from trying to wrestle with it.
otherwise, if we're off, you might need to specify how the screw is "busted." _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com*

I ride with fins on a boat, but when i'm on cable i usually took it off...however it's been a long while i got down to the cable. Last week i went down to check out the cable park. So while trying to unscrew...it got busted. Dang this thing are soft. |

use a drill bit that is just a little smaller than the screw head. i had to do this last night. once you get through the head it will just pop off. then just poke the screw through with some sort of punch. _________________ north jones |

Use a titanium drill bit that is slightly smaller than the bolts and drill through the bolt from the head side.
Something will give. _________________ Your mom is my favorite knee boarder. |

Wood bit may not work.
Titanium is sure to do the trick.
Size 4mm - not sure. Just slightly smaller than the bolt. _________________ Your mom is my favorite knee boarder. |

T9 FTW!, Yeh I agree your best bet is drilling it out. A wood bit will snap they have bits made for metal should say on the package. Just drill slow.

Yup...you should be able to get damaged screw removers at your local hardware store. This is probably the best way to go...I would be nervous about drilling into the screw with a bit because you could end up slipping and damaging your board.
And next time, use thread protector...I forget exactly what it's called, but you just put it on the screws before you put them in and it protects them from corroding and makes them easier to take out. |

a screw extractor involves drilling into the srew and then using the reverse thread bit to dig into the walls of the hole you drilled. i dont think they make them that small, just drill the head of the srcew off. _________________ HOTDOGS! |
