most of the motors I've ran across are all 4 stroke motors does the average winch use a 4 stroke ? Can a 2 stroke be used are there any advantages or disadvantages of either ?

2 strokes have a higher power/weight ratio...meaning that you get more horsepower for less weight...but are also a lot louder and less fuel efficient then 4 strokes.
