hey guys,
quick questions, i have seen several winches with tav2's and a couple with clutches, whats better? and does it make alot of difference? thanks for the help on my winter project, its freezing in wisconsin, the only thing from getting depressed is my winch im building. thanks for the help |

| what size engine are you using. Typically a 6.5 engine with a tav will deepwater start the average rider, while a CC has trouble. the ony downside to a tav is the cost. |

| I've got a 7hp with a CC and can get people out of the water if they know what they are doing but my new project is definitly going to have tav2 |

| Yeah, you can, but you have to get on for a 1" shaft instead of a 3/4" |

No, if you get a 9hp engine it will have a 1" shaft
8hp and lower have 3/4" shafts
9hp and above have 1" shafts
They make tav2's to fit either size |

| Neh, the 30 has a factory rating of 8hp but that is just for comet to cover their arse. You will be fine with the 30 on the 9hp. Just make sure wherever you get one you make sure to get the the one for the 1" |
