I hear some not so good things about the top decks. But is everyone generally talking about the 2007. Does anyone know if the 2008 is any better. The gator website says they have improved the durability but obviously they could write whatever they want.
Thanks |

ive got an 08 deuce pop and so does my buddy. we both ride the hell out of the boards and have never had a problem with the top decks. my friend with an 07 though did break his top deck. but so far both are 08s are perfect no problems. |

i love my 08 deuce pop and so does my friend whos got one. I have ridden an SST not the 40.5 but the 42 and I like the deuce pop so much better.I think the deuce is a much better board and actually feels like a bi-level, where as the SST feels like a concave with a big tail to me. personally i would rather get the deuce its a much better board in my opinion |

Andrew is right. The top decks turn to garbage after a week. Jordan demo'd one and it had stress cracks after the first set and the grip came off. If you can get a used one and get a NEW or Devotid top deck, it might be your best bet if you like the composite bottom. |

great board overall, i know that the 07s did have some top deck trouble but the 08s are coming out strong. everyone ive tlkd to loves theyre duece pop. it has a super good feel to it and has that nice bi level feel.
but i wouldnt worry about the top deck cause if your loving the composite base you can always find a good stirdy top deck for one.
def recomend devotid.
latesssssss. |

beardo, The one Jordan demo'd was an 08'. The 08' is the Manzari with the gangster or whatever, right? |

hey guys
I just want to say that I ride the hell out of my board and cant break it. Me and reed used to go through Casseettes in a week or so cause we would snap the nose an tails. Both of us have spent a good amount of time on the 08 top and never snapped it. That kid who said that you get stess lines in it is right but thats just the nature of a wood board, and in no way what so ever do I think that it weakens it. and as far as the screws rusting I never thought it mattered that much if its that much of a bother just go to lowes and get some stainless one. But now that its brought up I will call up Gator right now and see what we can do about making them stainless from here on out. but I have ridden almost every bi-level and its the best board ive ridden. But thanks for all the positive feed-back im stoked!!!!!!!!!

I'm contemplating moving on to a Bi-level. If i find a good deal. All these breaks... are they just while riding in the water or when your bustings tricks on hard objects, rails and such? I'm more of a relaxed rider. I just like to cruise, try some W2W maybe and do shuv-its and bigspins. Maybe attempt a few kickflips. I should be alright and have no worries of a nose or tail break wouldn't ya think? _________________ http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ |

I myself am a "laid back" easy kinda rider. the duece seems durable for that and more |

What's so bad about the '07? as far as a casual rider like myself is concerned? _________________ http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ |
