I just got an idea... what if you were to make a board with an A Sym continuous rocker, would this suck, or work kinda well?

to get a picture of what i'm thinking, take your left hand, make an L and tilt it to the side.

and if you are not already doing this with your hands Laughing Laughing Laughing picture a nike swoosh

Vance Collins, yeah, i guess it would, but would it give a good enough advantage riding one way to be a (semi) good idea

Personally i don't understand the concept of asymetrical anything. It all just seems sort of weird. The thing that people have always told me about asym. shapes is that the nose is bigger... for noseslides.

Don't people do tailslides? Why not make both sides big? It's just never made any sense...

Slapdown, your skateboard is most likely asym as well, narrow tails with a wider nose.

if both sides are big it makes it harder to set the board on edge.

Slapdown, yea thats exactly how i feel, if one side rides better, why not make both sides ride better Smash

wakemitch, I know most skateboards are asymetrical. The ones i'm working on actually are symetrical and have both a large nose and tail. I love how they ride too.

I know a lot of wakeskates are asymetrical but if i'm not mistaken... a lot also aren't. In my opinion asymetrical is just a really weird concept. Whether or not it helps with a wakeskate... i don't know. But it just seems sort of ridiculous..

I agree, don't understand realy the a-sym shape, if it helps for some reasons in one way, in the switch stance it would work the inverse, wouldn't it ???

ollieshuvitz, Wink

but chris skateboards dont have rocker, haha. they have an asym outline.

LF decks have an asymetrical shape but symmetrical rocker i believe. asymetrical rocker seems awkward. i think the oak team machine is listed to have asymetrical rocker.

i usually prefer to have a wakeskate that is very consistent and predictable, asym rocker would be like the k2 gyrator snowboard which is only good for pow. Im sure asym rocker could affect pop and edging it would be crappy for riding switch. Also popping a skateboard on the ground vs the water is very different.

-=AlexXx=-, is the benefit worth the awkwardness?

consider it like a freeride wakeskate rocker/shape.
