So a kid at my school killed himself yesterday. he hung himself off of one of our larger local bridges in town, apparently there were several witnessess. the first time i heard about what happened was in first period today but there were no details other than there was a suicide yesterday. i asked the girl next to me who it was and she replied "just some random kid." id say about eight kids had heard about the incident but apparently nobody knew the kid. two hours later in my english class a couple of girls were talking about it. they tell me the name of the kid, turns out i know him. he was my lab partner for the entire first semester in my first period class. i wasnt quite sure how to react. he was always a really shy and quiet kid and i think im the only kid in that class that he ever even talked to. what pisses me off is how we could talk about how some kid in our class killed himself while being completely f*cking oblivious to the fact that he is in our class. it seems everyone at our school has heard his name but nobody knows who actually is, nobody knows what he looks like, or even anything about him. The girl in my first period referred to him as "just some random kid" even though she has sat directly behind him this entire school year. im astonished at the fact that when my first period teacher heard his name she not only did not recognize it but she couldnt even remember it long enough to realize he was her student. it seems so few people actually care even the slightest bit about those around them anymore, forgetting about many of them long before they even disappear.

Sorry, but he killed himself. Sad as it might be, it was his own doing. I guess he didn't realize that children in Haiti have to eat dirt cookies because they are so poor. Not trying to be a dick, just putting things into perspective! My prayers are with his family. Thers no reason for any soul in the USA to kill themselves! We have it so good and its so easy to "make it" in our country.
Me and my childhood best friend watched the cops open the garage door of our neighbors, only to see him hanging by an extension cord.

nopulseimpulse, he took his own life, suicide is selfish. its hard for me to feel sorry for somebody who kills themself but it just bothers me how it seems that nobody even gives two sh*ts about him or even knows who he was.

This is why its important to always go out of your way and be nice to everyone dudes..... If your boared download the mosaic podcast "if everyone cared" it's some pretty good stuff....
I'de like to challenge you all to treat everyone like Royalty for the next week. How dramatically different would are world be if EVERYONE had SOMEONE, For just one day.....
My prayers are with his family.
Mr. Top Hat, Give the people who dont seem to care LOVE, There ignorance is somethihg those of us blessed with minds must tolerate.

This is a terrible story to hear. I pray more people do not make the same decisions as this boy made. My school is certainly not small with about 400 in the freshmen class. I have tried to talk to alot of people. And it is interesting to see what some kids you meet are like. I dont think there is a single person that doesnt at least know everybody's first name. We are (here comes the cheezy part) like a family. Last year a kid was involved in a car accident and tragically passed away. Most, if not all of the class went to the funeral.
Please everyone, make an effort to get to know somebody. If we had more people like top hat at his school, maybe this boy would still be alive.
Now comes the part that I hate to say, but will anyways. The past few generations of kids are becoming way to sensitive on getting their feelings hurt. I asked my parents and they said they hadnt ever hardly heard of kids commiting suicide when they went to high school, same with my older brother and sister. Maybe I'm a little bit biased on the subject, but that is just what my infernce on this sort of thing is.
If you hear someone ever talking about suicide, please take them seriously and get them help. I know I would for anyone I knew. _________________ If you don't like my fire then don't come around. Cuz I'm gonna burn one down.

WAKEMan1, Thank you for posting that. After watching the video and doing a little research, it almost brought me to tears reading this. (Sorry for sounding like a baby). That is just a terrible thing to happen to someone never really understood. I have observed at my school that kids are a little more tolerent to people's differnet beliefs, hobbies, etc. I pray nothing else happens to Jeremy Wade Delle. It also touches me a little bit more than something like this normally would, that my older brother's name is Jeremy and he was kind of a loner in school. I couldnt imagine growing up without my brother if he had problems like that and decided to do something every one would regret. Once again, sorry for getting all emotional, this sort of thing doesnt usually happen to me, but I had to express my remourse.

Yeah a couple of months ago a kid from my rival school jumped into a train track (bart for anyone from the yay area, haha). Just a sickening recipe of mutilation. If ya ask me I think suicide is one of the most selfish and cowardly things to do.

WAKEMan1, yes I read that part. I was looking at the thing that made him commit suicide, not the actual act. _________________ If you don't like my fire then don't come around. Cuz I'm gonna burn one down.

Mr. Top Hat, what was his name? private message if u dont wanna say it for the public. Thats so sad, but suicide is so rediculous. People go through all kinds of difficult shizzle in life, there is really NO reason anyone should kill themselves. I know everyone goes through tough times and we endure it, and are still here. But it is good to be nice to people, everyone should see the movie Crash. its really really good and makes u realize you should NEVER be a dick to anyone because it will always come around and kick u in the ass. i strongly suggest everyone sees it.
