Anyone have one or know anything about them? Thinking about buying my buddies, he's moving and looking to sell, just don't know what price to offer him. He bought it new (2k) and its a few years old with no rope included...
I read the write up about it and looked on their website but I want some input thats not propaganda to sell it.
Any suggestions??

| its an ok winch but you should check out pulldozer winches. ive ridden behind a few blackboxes and the pulls werent too great and the chain kept popping off. the owner of pulldozer created the blackbox, but the pulldozer is way smoother and a much better winch all around

| wakemitch, the guy just wants any reasonable offer, I think Bryan's wanting to know about how much would a slightly used blackbox would be worth

| senorbueno, exactly! And I'm seriously considering it~ Just don't have a ton of $$ and don't want to rip him off. Also the thing has been used and is not in mint condition but works fine.

id say a grand... my friend has one here in gainesville and the pull is fair at best... i have no idea about your friend's, but the blackbox i rode behind was real jerky plus the winch itself was HUGE... and weighed a ton... if you test it and like the pull i wouldnt go much more than 1200

Sounds like it's more of a hassle than that it's worth, and I wasn't planning on throwing him 1200, thats a little much...
ben we came to wakeskate, Thats one thing I don't want is a slow winch, that right there might change my mind

bryanbryanbb08, just ride behind it and make your own decision... never make a big purchase like a boat or car or even winch without test driving it

for a few more bucks you could get a pulldozer with a hydralic brake, free releasing aluminum spool and some nice all-terrian tires with handles. It also has a detachable reciever hitch to take off that excess weight to bring your winch to tighter spots. you can email Ryan at www.myspace.com/pulldozer. He will have a new site all of its own up soon too so stay tuned.

| Hey just email lasewer.com and tell those guys you need a winch they have built and designed a sweet new winch that will be near the same price you are about to spend on a used winch. Just a thought.

Bryan.
I would give him no more than a grand for that winch,I built the first 15 or so Blackbox winches for Hypoxic, and they are in no way even close to as decent as any winch you could get now. Save your money and get something better.
