When I lived on Venice Beach in 2000 and 2001, everyone was so friendly.
The police had better things to do than disturb the hippies, including myself.
For me, it was a magical time and place.
There was actually a bum who stood on the boardwalk and solicited money by telling everyone that he was going to purchase the chron don when they made a donation.
That was some funny shizzle listening to all the ways he planned on getting lifted with our spare change.
