well I don't know how much you wanna spend but Buywake has the 03 Byerly for 180, and the 03 kampus slide, and swing for 90 that would leave you enough money for a vest and some spiffy new wakeskate shoes the real advantage to the hyperlite, liberation and integrity skates is they aren't wood so they'll last ten times longer and I think the 03 Byerly is heavyier than the 04 because of the JIB base they put on it which makes it even more durable, I don't know ultimately you gotta decide the truth is you'll adapt to whatever you ride I used to ride cassette but they kept cracking and waterlogging so I switched to hyperlite and at first I hated it, but now I don't even notice the weight difference, and thats not to say cassette isn't an awesome company definately one of the true originals along with FWT it all just boils down to personal preference _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

kento911, im pretty sure the 03 and 04 byerly boards are identical except for graphics...and the jib base doesnt really make it more durable, it just makes it slide better on certain surfaces. hitting rails still voids the warranty. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

no actually the jib base makes it stick on rails, Its the worst hyperlite idea ever, and the only thing it does do is add a layer of rubbery pastic to the bottom of the board, as well as add a ton of weight the spec sheet on the o3 byerly says it has JIB base on it I've never seen one b/c the shop I worked at didn't carry any Hyperlite skates in 03 and every company voids there warranty after you start hitting rails thats life _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

oh btw my friend dumped his board onto the concrete from the racks when he was drunk and the jib base stopped alot of the damage so at least in my expierience i.e. hitting rail w/ the jib base all the jib base does is add a crap load of weight and it add some measure of protection to the base _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

Ok heres the deal I spoke to my friend who works boat shows for Hyperlite and he said the JIB base for the wake skates is different from the Jib base for the wake boards, and that he heard the reason they made them differnet is that the wakeboard jib base was too "tacky" for bindingless riding sorry about the confusion _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

I know the slide is slight longer and narrower at the tip/tail, and the swing is obviously shorter and wider I've only ridden the swing and the k39 so Im not sure about the slide. I think the wider tip and tail will make the swing easier to ollie but again I have no basis for comparison b/c I'm clueless about the slide either way your gonna need a pair of shoes old or new , b/c the slide and the swing are usually grip taped _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

kento911, how is the jib base heavy? the catalyst skates are the lightest concaves that i know of...and the jib bases now are nylon, not the "rubbery plastic" that was on the 02/03 byerly and premiers. btw hyperlite doesnt mention the jib base once on their website...
and origin will still warranty your board if you hit rails with it... _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground
