Sometimes I wonder whether some people are (even subconsciously) rooting for a global pandemic. Something to break up the routine. Some drama to feed the entertainment/content-hungry populace.

One day I was watching a show on TV where some researchers were out watching a couple of lionesses sleep in mid-day. This is not as exciting as it sounds. Sure, they are beautiful and majestic, and were quite resplendent and golden amid the grasses and wildflowers. The gutted zebra nearby was quite a sight. But cats are cats. They sleep 16 out of every 24 hours.

A gust of wind lifted off the hat of a fellow in a neighboring jeep, and it fell on the grass, just a few feet from the vehicle. This was about 30 feet from the lions, who were lazy, glutted, oblivious sleeping cats. So this guy decides to chance it, and slowly opened the back of the jeep and quietly stepped out to retrieve his hat. I watched this activity intently.

The SECOND the hatless man's feet hit the grass, the lions rose, alert, crouching, staring him down. I must confess at that moment, I was torn. Of course, I didn't want the man to be chased by lions right on camera and ripped to bloody pieces while he screamed for mercy, but then again, he had stepped out of his vehicle right in front of carnivores in the wild, risking his life to get his hat. Luckily for the man in question and my battling conscience, he jumped right back in the jeep, forever abandoning his hat to the Serengeti.

But my point is that I understand the pull of the drama, pain, routine disruption that a kill in Africa, a Hollywood scandal or a global pandemic promises.

I believe a stronger pull exists. Can you imagine if ideas were to infect like viruses? The expression of love? A good laugh? The act of dropping a grudge? The decision to cut the cord of hatred, regret or anger that binds us to another? An act of kindness? A decision to forgive and move on?

For this type of pandemic to start: 1) a new idea must emerge; 2) it must infect humans and cause serious impact; and 3) it must spread easily and sustainedly (continue without interruption) among humans.

If I am infected with a certain idea, an impulse, an irrepressible feeling of lightness and laughter, and pass it on to everyone I casually encounter, who in turn is infected, who in turn passes it on. . .

Of course there will always be those naturally immune to this infection (like the Grinch, born with a heart two sizes too small!) but the rest, the majority, enough, would be touched, reached, infected, inspired. Then what?

Just imagine.

A real war.

With a real enemy.

With real consequences for failure.

Real victory, a possibility.

Something that makes you want to get off your couch and make a stand.

Stand side by side with your brothers and fight for what you believe in and live by.

So what idea is it that goes against everything you believe in? Act on it.

Tomorrow.

I promise I will act on it in the next week. Airport day tomorrow, I don't think it's the right time nor place.

Tell your story.

That's basically a religion. Or, far worse, a cult following (i.e. Nazis, KKK)

The only problem with this infection is the human mind. Which we can control like a light switch. We can choose at any point to turn on or off any section of the brain, any emotion we feel. Nothing involuntary. Far few humans have the correct mind set, or knowledge of free will for this to ever happen. People do not realize they can change their mood, they give events and feelings the undeserved power. You mind is not a democracy, nor should it be a useless mass. People don't want to think for themselves, thats why they watch the news, or "join" a specific political party. They pledge their alligence to a brand, or person because of one man(woman) or a group of men(woman) they pledged their alligence too long ago told them they were worthy. People unknowingly(maybe some people knowingly) tie strings to their own arms and legs and let other lead them. I must admit, it is far easier to do this. But for me, I choose to be free. Why? Because I can be...Why? why not? I can walk any direction at anytime. I can vote for what ever candidate I want. Drive whatever car I want, move wherever I want. I cut my strings and break my shackles. But some people tie themselves up daily. So until people know they are free, this epadimic will not spread, because people do not KNOW they have the power to change the world

:::::

That was a long post to say this. In short. People do not know they are free and (or) powerful, few truly believe they can change the world. Before people think their smile or opening a door for someone can change the world...They have to believe in their minds and hearts, that anything they do can change the world...

Not of finding, we've always been within reach of ourselves. We now celebrate the understanding and wholeness of ourselves. You can look at yourself as a multi-layered being. Parts of you disagree with other parts, but you always function as one on the outside.

The ones we call "crazy" have just let those other parts develop their own personalities, names, control factors...etc.

The consciousness and recognition of your multiple selves in the one is a step to making yourself one. To be absolute and never question yourself is to be whole, to be one.

You can recognize your true self by living by your highest sense of right.

Listen.

The Captain, For a long time I lived my life according to others and went off of what they said. It took me a whle to realize I was a human...and I was my own. THAT is why i stress finding yourself. You seem to be one or two steps ahead of maybe. I've yet to dig into layers because as of late I've only found that I am my own. As I begin to dig into myself i will develope more knowledge and begin to find more and more things. I'm not quite sure of the layers yet, but I have reconized some parts of my body don't work well with others. But that seems to protect me from certain pain(emotional or otherwise). I do discredit my body for it's imperfections(maybe they are perfections) in disagreement. I choose to embrace that, and live with it...and make changes according.

Your body is an illusion, your expression of a limited sense of indentity in this existence. All your emotions, feelings, beliefs, and what you hold true are vibrations of the soul. Your body is just your easiest way to understand it.

Perfection of self is a fun game.

Sounds like you are starting to get a hang of the "rules" Cool

I just kind of woke up one day and looked at my hand...and started thinking why it is shaped the way it is. I started to wonder why I have nerves in my knee that hurt why my knee is injured. It's like a check engine light for my body. It kicked off a whole new outlook on life. From the day I began to respect people and myself. I think if you read my wb.com posts and my earlier posts on here you can see the change. <3 life...
